This year the Asheville Area Arts Council will be hosting a craft artist invitational in the Thom Robinson and Ray Griffin Exhibition Space. The exhibiting artists have been personally invited by the some of the finest craft galleries and organizations in Western North Carolina. American Craft Week is the nation’s largest celebration of handmade craft. Through this exhibit we are highlighting the abundance of talent in our community. It strives to invigorate local handmade craft awareness and the rich history that exists in our region.
The opening reception will be held in the Thom Robinson and Ray Griffin Exhibition Space. This is a wonderful opportunity to better familiarize yourself with the craft galleries and organizations in our area and the artists they represent. We encourage viewers to use this exhibition as the guide to your American Craft Week celebration!
