Charlotte-Mecklenburg residents and visitors can share a community table in streets of either uptown Charlotte or downtown Cornelius while enjoying arts and cultural performances at ASC’s Culture Feast.
The third annual event takes place simultaneously from 7-11 p.m. Sept. 8 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza (400 East Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.) and in downtown Cornelius (Catawba Avenue between Old Oak Street and Milling Way).
Tickets can be purchased at CarolinaTix.org starting July 10. Single tickets are $35; two tickets are $60 when using the promo code “CultureForAll”. Culture Feast is presented by Bank of America and is for ages 21 years and up.
Created in 2015, Culture Feast uses arts and culture to bring people together and build bridges across difference. Past performances featured Opera Carolina, Carolinas Latin Dance, Drums 4 Life, Carolina Voices, Nouveau Sud Project, Jazz Arts Initiative, A Sign of the Times and more.
“We have seen how people from different neighborhoods, backgrounds, socio-economic levels, race and ethnicities, talk and connect with each other through arts and cultural experiences as well as a wonderful meal during Culture Feast,” said ASC President Robert Bush. “In addition to the uptown Charlotte location that has drawn more than 500-plus people, I am excited another Culture Feast will be running simultaneously this year in the Town of Cornelius.”
We hope you will join us to experience a community table dinner, enjoy unique cultural happenings, and dance the night away with music from RevelWood Mission in Uptown Charlotte and the Lake Norman Big Band in downtown Cornelius. Drinks provided by Triple C Brewing, Shelton Vineyards and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated.
